Our mandate: The client wanted to jazz up her stairs leading up to the second floor as well as decorate the upstairs hallway. They felt that the stairway was bland, and the landing upstairs lacked personality. In keeping with the client’s taste for classic and French Country styling, we recommended the custom wool runner leading up the stairway that follows along the upstairs landing and hallway to the bedrooms.
The runner adds interest, as well as brightens and anchors the space. We also installed an entire gallery wall of at least 30 frames in various sizes and shapes containing memories of the family’s travels and moments together to personalize the hallway. There is now visual interest, and the stairs and hallway are warm and inviting.
